Had a Shimano 5000 that wouldnt wind, John new the problem prior to seeing the reel and was able to offer a firm quote with / without new parts before shipping. Both prices were more competitive than other viable options. Reel was fixed in no time and returned with communication being spot on as well. It should also be noted that the reel was fixed without the need for the new parts (not that i would have known) confirming John's honesty. Needless to say I will definetly use Reel Value for any similar requirements and have no hesitation in recommending him to my friends

John was extremely helpful and very cost effective. I had a 24-year old fishing reel that had not been used for 14-years. Upon it's recent outing, a screw came loose and I lose the line guide roller and screw. After contacting various people, including Dawia themselves, John managed to source me a near identical component and screw to get my old but very reliable reel back into the game. Communications and prices, and John's offer to resolve the issue in-house was fantastic! I can't recommend him enough. Cheers John.

Absolutely brilliant service. John fixed my fox stratos reel as the bait runner adjustment had broke. John sent pictures showing the damage, sourced the parts and got the reel to full working order. John kept me updates with what was happening. Most definitely will be using John to service my other reels in the short future! Thank you John

Found John by chance on the net when my baitrunner reel decided to go "kaput" and I opened it up myself to try and fix. The rest is history with springs and all manner of internal workings laying on my desk.
Emailed John who responded very quickly, posted the useless baitrunner and he has done the job.
i will definitely recommend this man to anyone. He is a dying breed of good old British service.

I discovered John's website on Ebay recently when I purchased a Penn Eclipse fixed spool reel which turned up promptly and has constantly been in use since. Last week I revisited the website to find out what else John was marketing and discovered a variety of Braided HMPE (Dyneema/Spectra) line in the strengths and lengths I was looking for. I placed an order directly with John and was delighted with both the prices and service (overnight). When the need arises I will most definitely be returning for more tackle.I Iive in a sea fishing community ( Rye Harbour, East Sussex) and will certainly be recommending

WHAT A BRILLIANT GUY JOHN IS I WANTED SOME BEARINGS FOR A REEL AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO GO ABOUT IT. Fishing from a kayak at sea is tough on reels, even if they claim to be saltwater resistant. Rather than spend fortunes on big name reels, I now use a GE3000 on my light spinning rod and a GE6000 on my 8-14lb boat road. Both promptly supplied by John at a fraction of the price for a brand name, in fact the braid probably cost more than the reels.

firstly i would like to a big thank you to john !!
my abu reel was in a bit of a state never cleaned and for the time i had it never serviced
john striped it and has told me how to clean it after use, Also he has advised me my line on the reel was to big and to use a tapered leader, Me been new to fishing all this advise can only help me along
