I sent my reel by first class post on Thursday the 9th. Today Friday the 10th i got an email informing me that the reel had been received, repaired and serviced as requested.Now that is what i call first class service.I wish i had known about REEL VALUE before now because if this is the standard of service they supply i will definitely be dealing with them from now on for all my angling needs. What was equally impressive was the cost.Including postage the bill came to £17.20. That is what i call value for money. Many thanks from a first time customer.

Just has 2 Avet reels serviced and repaired by John whilst i was off on holidays, great quick service and good explanation of the problems and solutions by someone who really knows what he is doing and can do it with good turn around time. John, the service on my two multiplier reels was superb to their point that they now work better than they did from new. Sorry but there is now my at least another 5 reels coming to you for servicing, well after we've finished sea fishing this year. Thanks John, You have done a fantastic job repairing my Okuma Powerliner 865. For anyone experiencing problems getting their reels repaired, I can thoroughly recommend John. Being in Germany I made many enquiries about the seized drag on the reel but nobody could give me the answer I needed. Having contacted Okuma and Svendsen I was given John's contact details. He said that if I sent the reel to him that he would only repair as necessary, and that if the work was not cost effective then he would let me know accordingly. Fortunately the reel was reapirable at a very good price and the postage back to me was very quick. TO REITERATE; DO NOT HESITATE TO CONTACT JOHN IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM; HE WILL DO HIS UTMOST TO HELP YOU OUT:

Wow, what a service. Getting 14stone of fat Kn$*&ker landing on the reel and bending the bail arm out of shape and forcing the gearbox to do things it wasn't designed to do, I honestly thought my reel was toast. I E mailed John expecting to to get the brush off to be honest. The reply was quick and informative, Like me he doesn't like good reels go to waste. Within a few days of reel being sent I had a phone call while in work to say he'd sorted bail arm and gave a price for new gears ( just to see if i wanted to proceed with the repair) Price was a lot less than i had expected after dealing with other reel repairs. On getting home i had another email waiting to tell me that the gears did not need replacing as they had slipped a tooth (apparently this reel has some Carlos Fandango elliptical gears ) so repair was even cheaper. So quick and cheap (just like I like my women :) Quick check over shoulder to make sure wife's not looking) As I said earlier WOW what a service , cant recommend the service high enough. Brilliant service and value. When I lost the holding nut from my Scierra reel I contacted the manufacturers who put me in touch with John at Reelvalue. I sent him the reel by post which he repaired on the day it arrived and I had it back a couple of days later - only cost me �8 along with postage. When my old but much loved Okuma epix reel had a problem I contacted Okuma who put me in touch with John. John sorted out the problem very quickly and for an unbelievable price. I don't normally post reviews but the service I received definitely required acknowledgement. I can wholehearted recommend John to anybody.

Often you read others comments on all different types of websites and wonder to yourself if they are true. Well if anybody asks I will categorically state that John is a true professional who knows his trade and how to converse, a characteristic that is sadly lacking nowadays. I was astounded by the short amount of time that my reels took to be serviced and the in depth explanation of what actually was carried out to these items. All of my reels will now be travelling North to be serviced.

well just got both my reels back from john penn international 975 ld and okuma andros 511 and i must say excellent service the 975 ld was in bad condition mechanically and now runs and feels like new could not have asked for any more, keepup the good work ;-)

I sent my little 1000 reel that I had almost written off as i thought the repair would be expensive and not really worth it, Instead my reel was fixed quickly (and cheaply) without needing spare parts and it works fine! Thanks

I sent of 2 of my FOX12000E,they both needed a service and the baitrunners did not work,and the bearings needed changing on 1... John rang me to say that he has fixed the baitrunners and changed the bearings.They have arrived today and they are like new again.My other fox reel is boxed and is getting sent today....bang on price,bang on service, will defo be telling my mates to use john....nice one mucca

Was recommended after I could find no one willing to take a pop at my busted wychwood reel. Top, top service. Kept me up to date with the problems and the possible fixes. Having foolishly left getting my reels serviced until the start of the 2014 season i posted them off to John on Tuesday, today Saturday he phoned to say the reels were serviced and on the way back to me.With a full account of the work that had been carried out. After sending John my two Abu 7000's for full servicing, to say that I am impressed with the quality of service would be a gross understatement. John kept me fully informed during the whole time that my reels were with him and I cannot praise him enough for what he did for me. The reels came back better than new and he had even gone to the trouble of taking out the old bushes and replacing them with new bearings.
