Excellent service. First class repair. Two of the handles on my ancient Okuma fly reel cartridges had fallen off. These were replaced at a very reasonable price, and returned very quickly. I cannot thank your customer service enough.

I have a couple of 3000 size fixed spool reels that I use for bass lure fishing from the shore, mainly down here in Devon but also in Southern Ireland. They get a fair amount of 'hammer' and often end up dunked in salt water. One is a Shimano and the other is a Okuma. I have sent both of them to John at Reel Value for repair and servicing. I have been very pleased with the efficiency, courtesy, and high standard of work that Reel Value has provided. I live in a city that has a specialist reel repair and service centre less than three miles from my home, but I would far sooner send my reels to John and get them back working properly within three or four days and at a very reasonable price.

Asked John ,to clean and service 3 x shimano baitrunner 8000 XTEA's,(have used john services before my dads Mitchell match reel) johns effort and dedication is testament to the fabulous return of my new gleaming silky reels , I might ad with a great turn around of a couple of days ,these reels
are now running so smooth,

I sent john two reels PENN INTERNATIONAL 975 LD MULTIPLIER AND DAM 431 LDL QUICK POWER CHAMPION LIGHT TROLLING 4 BALL BEARING LEVER DRAG. They were in poor condition he repaired them and sent them back within 1 week now "THATS WHAT I CALL SERVICE" and the cost was very reasonable. I sent John two identical Dam Quick reels that had stopped properly functioning as bait runners and he sorted them within a day of receiving my parcel. Sent my Shimano multiplier reel for a clean an service and I had it back withi days, fully serviced and cleaned and looking like new. All this including postage cost me the princely sum of £13.00. A bargain in anyone's language. Throw in John's customer relations and you just can't go wrong. I will definitely be dealing with him from now on for all my angling requirements.

Didn't clean my Greys Gmag6 properly after its last outing,so it ran like a bag of spanners
Sent it to John to have a look at.
He rang me to say it was ready and even gave me advice on how to set it up properly.
One week later its back and runs like new,i have learnt my lesson with reels and saltwater but if I have any mechanical issues then John is the guy I will contact first in the future

I had an old Okuma Magnetix reel that had been very reliable but I had abused to the point of failure.
John did a very cost effective repair and it is now good as new.
He also supplied me with two more identical reels brand new - at a price better than hours of web searching could achieve.
Most important of all his excellent advice guided me back to my Okuma Magnetix where I had been searching for worse but much more expensive reels.
I will be back and I will recommend this service to anyone.

Thank you John and Reel Value for your excellent service. I dropped my front drag knob of my Okuma tri rex reel into a lake and lost it. I trolled the World Wide Web for a new front drag knob to no avail a Canadian gave me the name and wed site of Reel Value. They not only got me a replacement drag knob they (John) told me about the Okuma bait feeder conversion cap. You set the drag to suit line strength activate the free spool lever and the spool is free running. I felt sick when I lost my front drag knob but I've got a big smile on my face as I write this comment as my reel is not only fixed its better than the original version.
Look forward to my next purchase.

I have just received back my two Okuma BF40 reels, purring like kittens, following being serviced by John. I came across Reel Value scouring the internet as I needed to have my RAW II reels serviced before Svensden had appointed a service provider. From my first telephone conversation with John, he came across as being very knowledgeable and patient, this prooved to be more than true as I cannot fault the quality or thoroughness, of his work. He is always very fair and extremely good value for money, I do not send my reels anywhere else! Well done John and thank you for being such a helpful and honest chap!

I've just had my 10' salmon fly rod back from a repair by John Wordsworth and I'm delighted with the result. The tip section of the rod - a Scierra - had snapped and a replacement wasn't available as the rod is no longer on sale. John repaired the broken section and also supplied a new tip section. I couldn't tell the difference when either the repair or the new section were fitted. All this was done swiftly and at an excellent value-for-money price of less than £40 including postage to and back from Reel Value. Superb service and craftsmanship. I'd highly recommend Reel Value.
