I had a nearly new Daiwa 2508Tdx go horrible on me . An annoying click and wobble . I was looking for someone to sort it for me and I have to admit when I read these references I was a bit sceptical . Are they from relatives or friends ? I have never been to Rotherham , but my Tdx has , and I have to say the service was as good as these references say . The speed , cost and quality of the repair was unbelievable ! My reel is back , exactly as it came out of the box when new and ridiculously cheap . I spoke with John a couple of times , you wont meet a more genuine bloke . Very knowledgeable about reels , and when I suggested I pay more than the bill , he wasn't having it at all .All my reels will be going to Reel Value from now on !!! Thanks again John .

John was recommended to me by another reel repair company who were unable to repair my Okuma Magnetix Reel. As a first time customer the service from John has been beyond exceptional. John is a rare find, dedicated, passionate honest and highly professional. He fixed my reel in just a few days for a price that was incredibly reasonable. I asked him to put another £5 on the bill as I wanted to buy him a beer, but he refused !. The metal foot of my reel had snapped off and I was about to put it in the skip. John managed to re-rivet it back to the body and also completely cleaned up and serviced the reel for an incredibly reasonable price. I can highly recommend this company !!

This is the second occasion I`ve used John services.....
Last week I contacted John regarding the possibility of obtaining some spare spools for my Okuma Trio 30. Not only did John advise of an alternative Okuma spool which has the same attributes, he also advised me it was cheaper, a lot cheaper... To say I was surprised by the honesty of the man, was an understatement. He could have easily sold me the "original Trio 30 spool" and made money, but in advising me, he lost money a lot of money...I ordered six which came in a few days....Perfect....

came across reel value on line , after my attempt of striping my multiplier reel , sent it of to john in million bits and just got it back this morning all reassembled and feeling great , very fast turn around in getting reel back to me, johns knowledge not just in fixing reels but the history of the make is second to none ,this was my 1st time searching for somewhere to send reel of to be fixed and will not need to search ever again , as reel value is real value and have an other reel will be getting packed up to be sent of to john to be sorted out A+++++

Now this is the third time i have used Johns services one reel serviced as good as new the other reel not been used for 17 years is now like a brand new reel both reels where returned back to me within a week and like new while i was there i brought two new rods and a new reel for a fraction of the cost of the shop all i can say see john first before you think of buying a new rod or reel

John is a breath of fresh air, and certainly knows about customer care! I broke the handle of my okuma reel and after numerous attempts to obtain a replacement drew a blank. John was an absolute god send. I lost a handle screw cap to my reel and needed it in a hurry. We made contact and he was able to help me measure my reel to get the correct part. It was delivered within 48 hours of the request and i cannot praise him enough for his professionalism, customer service and telephone manner. I own quite a few reels and his customer service was the best I have ever received. I will in future deal with him other than a well known reel service centre in Wales who frankly were not upto the task. Well done Sir you get a gold star!!!

So pleased, sent two reels that I thought we ready for the scrap heap (saltist 50 & ambassador 7000I) and got them back in perfect working order. Sent on a Friday morning and back with me the following Wednesday with a phone call from John on the Sunday in between to tell me they were done and being posted. Excellent service!! Excellent price.
