I found John after a reccomendation from prologic. One alarms from a set would not pair with receiver and without proof of purchase i had no warranty. They reccomended him as a repair option. Glad to say i took it up and no fuss or faff job done, well packaged, good price, quick turnaround.

Absolutely fantastic services, got passed Johns details by a bite alarm manufacturer and he did everything he could to help right from the start. He managed to source the parts I required and kept in excellent communication throughout. He also found me the best postage deal possible so the price was even smaller than originally stated.
Excellent service and I would definitely recommend him to anybody!!!

I bought a set of pro logic bite alarms off ebay from John and one of them went wrong,without a quibble John took them back and fixed the alarm really quickly what a top man,cheers John.

For newcomers, I have sent reels to John for several months now and he has done an excellent job repairing my assorted woes,at a perfectly reasonable price, with no charge when nothing actually needed doing (ie my own incompetence).
I pay by credit card over the phone and it is always a pleasure to have a chat with him. There is no question that he knows his business. No difficulty whatsoever recommending him, and even if you have a (rare as hens teeth) local shop that can do repairs, it is really easy to keep the box and send it back next time I have a problem by post (UK about £4 for a standard reel in a box).

What a fantastic service John provides, ultra speedy repair of the ratchet spring on my Centre pin and a service, outstanding and very rare these days to find such a service. Great communication and great price. I have already recommended John to my fishing buddies and will definitely use again for my other equipment.

My pride en joy shimano 3000xd got dunked in the water, then it seized up because I didn't rinse it. I didn't no who to trust it with to fix the problem. After a lot of searching on the the web I sent an email to Reel Value. I got a reply next morning, and the message gave me confidence that this was the place to send it to.
Posted wednesday, got a call Friday, telling me all fixed and what was wrong. Paid over the phone, and will be back with me on Saturday. And all at an amazing price. You can't do better than that. Totally recommend.

The name says it all - absolutely brilliant service. John explained the problem with my 2 reels and the cost of repair [plus P&P] was well worth it. Less then half the cost of one of the reels new, and they were returned looking like new. Would definitely recommend this service.

Thanks Reel Value! Three Shimano spinning reels sent in, two for a service, and one for a repair. All three had been used and abused (by me) saltwater fishing for Bass and all three have come back to me in excellent working condition, including the repair reel which I had written off as not repairable. My SL30SH was making some horrible noises. When I looked up how to service it I had flashbacks to the days I used to strip down Mini engines and always have a few nuts & bolts left over on re-assembly ! So taking the wimp option I sent the reel to John who serviced and changed a bearing in it in no time and as cheap as chips. I'm happy in the knowledge that I will never again contemplate stripping down my own reels. John you get my vote mate.

What excellent service, sent a reel on a Wednesday for changing left hand to right and was told on Thursday the reel had been received and sorted and would be on it's way back on Friday, received on the Tuesday all sorted, now that is outstanding service when the reel travelled from Cornwall to Rotherham and back in less than a week considering it was fighting Xmas postal chaos. I was looking for the right part for my discontinued okuma baitrunner reel for a couple of months before I managed to find John, taking apart other broken reels to try and see if the part fitted my one but had no luck so I sent it off to John to see if he could help, I also included a reel that was in bits with a note saying keep it for parts or if not bin it, not only did he repair my broken reel but also put the other one back together and fixed it for me no more than a few days of me sending them.

This is the first time I have used john as I only recently found him. He was able to provide the replacement part I needed for my multiplier reel at a very reasonable price compared to every other place I found it. John was very quick to respond to emails which was fantastic and the delivery time was amazing considering I live on quite a remote island. John was extremely helpful at sourcing 2 spare spools for my Okuma reels, where my local tackle shop had tried and failed. What’s more he did it effectively at cost making virtually nothing for himself. Will certainly come back for reel repair and service and might take him up on putting together a carp kit when funds allow. Thank you John. Really appreciated.

Had a problem with the receiver for some Sensora alarms (batteries had been left in and they leaked). It was beyond repair but John found a new one and gave the alarms a once-over then paired them up, all for £20. Highly recommended
