Just sent my Okuma Magnetix to Reel Value for service. Sent on Monday and back on Friday looking like a new reel. Brilliant service and will be sending more reels there in the future.

First time using reelvalue sent John a okuma cz-10cs which was turned around in just a few days. John was on the phone or emailed to keep me updated couldn't ask for better service will now be sending all my reels to John for service or repair.

I had a set of SMX alarms I sent them on Thursday 21st June 2018 i get them back by Monday 25th June 2018, so a big thenk you to the postal service and to John Wordsworth for an out standing service and at a very reasonable price.

Just had my Shimano long cast serviced, wasn't sure how much difference this would make but how wrong was I!! The reel is so much quieter and smoother, the price and turn around was also amazing. Will be sending my other reels in now.

Just had two Shimano 5000FA's serviced by John and they are now actually better than when I purchased them 12 years ago can't rate reel value highly enough ! Thanks John

I contacted John about a broken Bait-feeder I had and if he could fix it and if so could he also supply a spare spool.
John responded very quickly and once I sent him the reel, he repaired it and posted it back to me including the broken gear from the reel and the spare spool in a shorter time frame than he quoted to me.

I sent off 2 x Abu Ambassadeur 7001 reels as the level wind mechanism on both was seized and the reels required servicing after lying for a prolonged period in the garage unused. I found reel value via search engine and after prompt correspondence sent the reels off for a quote, service & repairs. Once John received the reels and checked them he contacted me with the quotation which was explained in layman's terms and extremely reasonably priced. All in all it took 6 days to get the reels sent from the far North of Scotland to reel Value, repairs and full servicing complete and returned to me. A fantastic service with sensible costs and I cannot recommend John & Reel Value highly enough. This will be my first point of call for my next reels once servicing is required.

I was recommend to Reel Value by a number of fellow Tenchfisher members. I initially sent 3 reels off to John and was so impressed another 4 followed by return of post. The 2 Shimano baitrunners came back like new. Amazing service and amazing prices. Highly recommended !!

Just got my Shimano biomaster back from John prior to receiving it he phoned me and went over the problem in detail explaining the problem of obtaining the necessary part but giving another solution without the part the reel is not perfect but it is certainly better than it was .

Part 2 - great service very reasonably priced will be using again soon

I have dealt with John before,this time he excelled himself 3 reels turned around in 24 hours,he even managed to repair one that I had had to bits myself (I made a right mess of it).

Yes he knows what he is doing.Yes he does the job quickly.Yes he is very reasonable with his prices. BUT the biggest thing is that I trust him and am therefore happy to recommend him to anyone.

Greetings John, I sent my TFG Centre Pin to you back in August for a repair to the clicker. I used it for the first time today – perfect (though I caught nothing except possibly pneumonia). Whilst fishing I suddenly realised that I had not confirmed receipt of the reel when you returned it, nor thanked you for your swift and courteous service. I was mortified and resolved as soon as I got home to send this email. So thank you John, it was a super repair and the turn round was exemplary. I am only sorry it has taken me so long to do what should have been done immediately.

Sent in an Okuma reel for repair. In our email correspondence I described the problems & John accurately broke them down. The reel came back in impeccable condition. The process turned into a bit of a saga - my payment by mail got mislaid by the PO (too heavy, took 2 months to return to me) and then the returned reel somehow took a detour from the UK to Canada en route to Ireland - surreal!! John is very kind & patient. And he knows his stuff.

Just had 2 very old Abu Multipliers serviced by John, they were returned within a week of posting and now look immaculate, will definitely be using the service again.
I also had a long conversation with John about sea fishing and the best line to use on one of my smaller reels, he definitely knows his stuff.

Had what I thought was a major issue with one of my Pro Logic alarms. John however put me at ease when I spoke to him, so I sent it off to Reel Value for repair. The alarm was returned promptly in full working order and at the price I was assured it would be.

One of John's competitors recommended Reel Value - which in itself says something very positive - and when I spoke to him, he could not have been more helpful. Sent off my reel & he fixed it, sent it back almost by return & then charged a singularly reasonable fee that included the postage back. Couldn't have hoped for better service at a better price!
