Greetings John, I sent my TFG Centre Pin to you back in August for a repair to the clicker. I used it for the first time today – perfect (though I caught nothing except possibly pneumonia). Whilst fishing I suddenly realised that I had not confirmed receipt of the reel when you returned it, nor thanked you for your swift and courteous service. I was mortified and resolved as soon as I got home to send this email. So thank you John, it was a super repair and the turn round was exemplary. I am only sorry it has taken me so long to do what should have been done immediately.

Sent in an Okuma reel for repair. In our email correspondence I described the problems & John accurately broke them down. The reel came back in impeccable condition. The process turned into a bit of a saga - my payment by mail got mislaid by the PO (too heavy, took 2 months to return to me) and then the returned reel somehow took a detour from the UK to Canada en route to Ireland - surreal!! John is very kind & patient. And he knows his stuff.

What an outstanding service! I sent two faulty Scierra salmon fly reels to John just before Cristmas and he had repaired and serviced them both and returned them to me by 28th December. I am absolutely delighted and would highly recommend Reel Value to anyone.

Just had 2 very old Abu Multipliers serviced by John, they were returned within a week of posting and now look immaculate, will definitely be using the service again.
I also had a long conversation with John about sea fishing and the best line to use on one of my smaller reels, he definitely knows his stuff.

Had what I thought was a major issue with one of my Pro Logic alarms. John however put me at ease when I spoke to him, so I sent it off to Reel Value for repair. The alarm was returned promptly in full working order and at the price I was assured it would be.

Contacted John after details were sent to me from OKUMA fishing tackle.I wanted a drag nut for my trio 40S,John took all details required and phoned me back within 30 min with the part needed.paid over phone and it was dispatched.No messing round with diffrent departments,great service will def use again

I was given John’s details by a friend who talked me out of new reels but to get them repaired and serviced. John not only carried out the work but also turned them around in 24 hrs for my holiday. This man is a ‘True Gent’ and I couldn’t recommend him enough to all from good advice, repair, service and anything fishing

One of John's competitors recommended Reel Value - which in itself says something very positive - and when I spoke to him, he could not have been more helpful. Sent off my reel & he fixed it, sent it back almost by return & then charged a singularly reasonable fee that included the postage back. Couldn't have hoped for better service at a better price!

Sent my Okuma Interceptor to John with bail arm problems. The reel was returned in double quick time repaired and serviced for £13 including postage!
He kept me informed of progress and explained what had happened to the reel to cause the problem.(Also some good advice on not using the bail arm auto closure.)
Excellent efficient and friendly service. I will recommend Reel Value to anyone requiring good old fashioned customer service at a superb price.

Emailed John about my reels saying I needed them back with in 2 weeks. He emailed back saying he could do it but he was on holiday the week after next so would need them asap. Sent them to him. And they were done with in 2 days.He did grate job and even found the time to call and discus the work when he took payment. We endid up talking all things fishing for the next 40min. Grate guy, very knowledgeable and a grate price. First class 👍🏻

Sent my Daiwa Windcast 5500 to John for service and repair, as it was making a strange sound and was vibrating when turning the handle. John found the cause and managed to repair the issue at a very low cost. The reel arrived back in protective packaging and now works perfectly. Excellent service and a very reasonable price - I will be sending my other 3 off for a general service in due course!

Posted my Daiwa Saltist multiplier on Monday morning. John phoned at 10.40 on Tuesday morning to tell me that it was all fixed and a bearing replaced. Very reasonable price and arrived back in the post this morning. What amazing service and we had a nice chat too!

Had a damaged Scierra Fly Rod which I was unable to get a replacement section as the model was discontinued. Contacted Svendsen Sport who supply Scierra rods in the UK but they were unable to help. However their Customer Service gave me John Wadsworths details and the rest is History!! He repaired my rod as good as new at a very reasonable cost. I have fished four times with and have not blanked!! A very professional service that I would recommend to anyone with fishing tackle problems. Many thanks John.

Was recommended Reel Value from members of the pikers pit forum. Made an enquiry to John re fixing a reel and sent it off to him for a service and repair.

John called me to tell me what was wrong and what he had done to fix it. Well it got returned and its better than new.

Superb service from start to finish. Highly recommended.

I can't recommend John's services highly enough,i was given his number by a tackle shop after both of my okuma sea reals failed after a weekend fishing trip, I had given up on them and was looking at a renewal cost of £150 pounds, John repaired them and they were returned for just over twenty pounds. I have recently sent three very tired shimano baitrunners for repairs and service, again excellent value and customer service is second to none, many thanks James.

This man is amazing, two faulty Shimano 5000 GTE & RE reels, One with faulty oscillation the other the handle jammed solid within the body.
Sent off and returned within a few days looking like new and fully repaired and serviced. All this at a charge of £25.45 which included the return postage.
Highly recommended. :)

Once again John came to my rescue. I got to buy an old JW Young Rapidex centre pin. Some 60 years old. It spun about 4 times then old age had it gasping. Contacted John, who said send it in. He takes delight in having classic reels on his work bench. Within a few days it was returned, cleaned and sprightly and spinning like top. He is an amazing man, and full of Yorkshire integrity, and what good value.

A great thanks to John, I bought a new cheap reel off an auction site which after use I thought was great. I tried and tried to get some spare spools to no avail then an email to John, yes we have them in stock genuine and others that fit all at a great price. I rang him Tuesday mid morning and paid over the phone. They were dispatched the same day and arrived Thursday morning what else can I say superb service. Thanks again
