Recently received my back my Vision Tank fly reel after repair. I cannot be more happy and seriously impressed. The level of service and expertise is superb, I thought it did not exist anymore. Having managed to lose the spool holder knob from my Okuma centre pin, in a fast flowing River Nidd I thought I would have to buy a new reel. Thankfully after a we search for spares, I came across John and Reel Value - problem solved. Not only did John replace the missing knob but also serviced my reel and now I have no need to buy a new reel - indeed the serviced Okuma centre pin runs smoother than ever. I've just had my two Daiwa multiplier reels back after John had serviced them, one required a new bearing, but both are now silky smooth, the price was fair and John knows his stuff, so always does a good job whether servicing or repairing and the turnaround time was quick, If you need your reels looking at then John is the man.

I e-mailed John enquiring about some parts for an old but much valued Okuma reel. I received a response within 24 hours despite him being out of office. I ordered the parts over the phone Thursday morning and they arrived safely just after noon the following day. Brilliant service - and a good price too!

I've used John before so knew how good he was at his job. This time I had a reel that the clicker had stopped working on the baitrunner facility. As I don't use bite alarms and rely on the sound of the baitrunner when I have a bite when barbel fishing this was very important. I dont usually engage the baitrunner but sometimes nature calls or i need to pour a cup of coffee. In less than a week the reel was back with me working as good as new. I'd also asked John if he had a spare single handle as the reel only had the double handle that I didn't particularly like. In the box with the reel were two single handles. Unbelievable service and such a knowledgeable gentleman to talk to. After service like that I wouldn't dream of sending my reels anywhere else. John is the man. Cant recommend him enough. Top class through and through.

Sent John two okuma epix pros that needed servicing. They came back beautifully smooth in super quick time. Very reasonable cost and a pleasure to deal with. John is highly recommended. 10 out of 10.

This shop is really great in their service, they respond super fast to emails and try to do everything they can to get you your part! It was actually not possible to get the part to the Netherlands, but with a detour they managed it!

I found Reel Value by accident really. As I had not been able to get any help from Ok**a, nor any of their distribution chain, I emailed Reel Value. Within the hour I received a very detailed reply. My reel was despatched, repaired and returned in just a few days. John called me to get details, had a super chat and paid up. Cheap is not a term I would use, but certainly inexpensive is fair. To say I’m over the moon is an understatement! Whilst fishing for tench a very large carp took my bait. It fought for 20 minutes doing my aged Shakespeare reel no good at all. When living in Cornwall I had used it to catch my salmon and sea trout. It means so much to me but I thought I would never use it again…….until I was given John’s details. Within a week he has restored it to its former glory. I cannot thank him enough! Highly recommended!

I had to write about the brilliant service I received from John I had a prologic pod which cost over £80:00 and one of the legs wouldn't lock when extended I e-mailed and rang the prologic representative in the uk and they were useless just said they didn't carry spares and didn't deal direct with the public and the shop I purchased from had ceased to trade.I was about to give up when I stumbled across John. He was fantastic and supplied me with a leg by post which I received the next day. I can not recommend him highly enough.
